Job summary

Next Level Medical in Austin, TX seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and episodic care in collaboration with medical professionals. You will follow protocols set by leadership, maintain patient flow, and coordinate care with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities include performing exams, ordering tests, documenting differential diagnoses, prescribing medications, and ensuring quality, safety, and infection control.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and NP licensure.
• Board-certified NP with current state licensure.
• DEA license with no restrictions.
• Skilled in patient assessment and management.
• Clinical experience in emergency/urgent care or ambulatory clinics.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Follow protocols providing medical authority when indicated.
• Perform complete physical exams and assessments (urgent to non-urgent).
• Select, order and perform tests and procedures to augment findings.
• Define/document differential diagnoses with most likely ones listed.
• Prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
• Maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with supervising physician for care plans.
• Learn and use computer systems to enter and report data.
