Job summary

Solidus Resources, LLC is seeking a Mine Superintendent to lead autonomous open-pit mining operations in Nevada. You will oversee production teams, coordinate with drill/blast, ore control, and maintenance, and drive safety, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in open pit mining, 5+ years in leadership, and experience with autonomous haulage systems. You will manage budgets, mentor supervisors, and optimize fleet performance in a high-stakes mining

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in open pit mining operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience supervising mining operations.
• Experience with autonomous haulage systems or autonomous mining operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining operations while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
• Execute mine plans to achieve production, productivity, and quality targets.
• Coordinate activities with technical services, drill and blast, ore control, maintenance, and autonomous haulage teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production crews to drive accountability and performance.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and equipment utilization.
• Manage operating costs, budgets, and contractor performance while meeting production objectives.
• Ensure ore and waste are mined in accordance with mine plans and grade control requirements.
• Support the implementation and optimization of autonomous mining systems.
• Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
