Job summary

Solidus Resources, LLC is seeking a Mine Superintendent for the Spring Valley Gold Project in Nevada. The role leads autonomous open pit mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness while coordinating with autonomous fleet operations to meet production goals.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (or related discipline) and 10+ years in open pit mining, with 5+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of open pit mining operations experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience supervising mining operations.
• Experience with autonomous haulage systems or autonomous mining operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining operations while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
• Execute mine plans to achieve production, productivity, and quality targets.
• Coordinate activities with technical services, drill and blast, ore control, maintenance, and autonomous haulage teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production crews to drive accountability and performance.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and equipment utilization.
• Manage operating costs, budgets, and contractor performance while meeting production objectives.
• Ensure ore and waste are mined in accordance with mine plans and grade control requirements.
• Support the implementation and optimization of autonomous mining systems.
• Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
