Job summary

HavocAI, based in San Diego, seeks an Engineering Field Service Technician to deploy and sustain our uncrewed surface vessel fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and document changes, ensuring vehicle readiness during testing and customer deployments. This role requires extensive travel across the U.S.

and occasional international travel. On site in San Diego when not traveling, you will support integration, maintenance, and field testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in field service or related hands‑on roles with electromechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and communications systems.
• Comfortable in maritime environments and traveling 50–75%.
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, PCB schematics, and manuals.
• Willingness to learn software‑based maintenance and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of USVs.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and system‑level issues in the field and implement fixes.
• Test, validate, and document vehicle and subsystem performance.
• Prepare service docs, records, and maintenance manuals for traceability.
