Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Marine Build Engineer to oversee the design, integration, and commissioning of auxiliary machinery for autonomous surface vessels. You will supervise shipyard installation, ensure piping and pump systems meet standards, and collaborate with Austin-based design teams remotely.

The ideal candidate has a strong marine engineering background, familiarity with ABS/NFPA/USCG, and hands-on experience with pumps and piping installations on vessels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine-related engineering fields and strong CAD skills.
• Familiarity with ABS, NFPA, and US Coast Guard regulations.
• Experience in shipyard or marine auxiliary systems installation.
• Ability to read P&IDs and interpret piping isometrics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, analysis, and integration of auxiliary machinery systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD modeling and optimization.
• Coordinate ECOs, ensure traceability, and drive resolution.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of pumps, piping, valves, and fire systems.
• Support documentation and as-built records for regulators and clients.
