Job summary

UW Medical Center – Northwest is seeking an experienced RN for our Childbirth Center, focusing on labor and delivery. The role involves assisting in labor and delivery, administering medications (including epidurals), and supporting mother/baby breastfeeding and couplet care.

This per-diem position requires at least two years in Labor and Delivery, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and an active Washington RN license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse.
• Hold or obtain RN license to practice in Washington state.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the labor and delivery process.
• Administer medications, including epidurals.
• Support mother and baby with breastfeeding initiation.
• Assist in mother and baby couplet care.
