Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Autonomous Controller/Mapper to operate the Autonomous Haulage System at Turquoise Ridge Open Pit Operations. You will manage truck assignments, optimize autonomous performance, and support daily planning from installation to productive haulage.

The role requires 2 years in dispatching and 5 years in mining, with a focus on safety, leadership, and communication. Ability to read mine designs and work a rotating nights/days schedule is essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years practical experience in a dispatching role, preferably in open pit mining.
• Five (5) years practical experience in surface or underground mining under MSHA regulations.
• Autonomous systems or operational experience required.
• Demonstrated safety leadership capability for both self and team.
• Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be trained and deemed competent in operating the Autonomous Haulage System.
• Manage truck assignment and performance safely and in accordance with OEM manuals and safety standards.
• Maximize utilization of the autonomous system and achieve daily KPIs for production targets.
• Identify optimization opportunities and communicate with internal partners.
• Collaborate with field and office personnel to support daily plan execution from installation to productive haulage.
• Identify issues or system faults and report to supervision or partners.
• Conduct daily area inspections and safety-compliant checklists.
• Assist in scheduling refueling and maintenance activities for autonomous equipment.
• Maintain virtual mine model map reflecting actual operations of the autonomous fleet.
• Survey and manage data for the virtual map, understanding mine designs and production plans.
• Develop and maintain knowledge on AHS system, operations, and support functions.
• Contribute to training model and competency evaluation for Autonomous Operations and Maintenance at NGM.
• Use engagement tools to gauge project communications effectiveness.
