Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Autonomous Controller/Mapper to operate the Autonomous Haulage System at Cortez Operations. The role focuses on safe, efficient dispatching and reliable data management for autonomous equipment, with strong emphasis on collaboration across field and office teams.

The ideal candidate will have MSHA-regulated mining experience, autonomy in system management, and proven safety leadership, supported by proficient Microsoft Office use and a willingness to adopt new

Qualifications

• Two years of dispatching experience in open pit mining.
• Five years of mining experience under MSHA regulations.
• Experience with autonomous systems or operations.
• Demonstrated safety leadership for self and team.
• Excellent leadership and communication to act as a Change Agent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience adopting emerging technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Autonomous Haulage System during the Automation Project.
• Manage truck assignment and performance per OEM and safety standards.
• Maximize autonomous system utilization and meet daily KPIs.
• Collaborate with field and office staff to support daily plan execution.
• Identify and report system faults to supervision or partners.
• Conduct daily area inspections and compliance checklists.
• Schedule refueling and maintenance activities for autonomous equipment.
• Maintain a virtual mine model map reflecting real operations.
