Job summary

Mayman Aerospace in Long Beach is seeking a Flight Test Operations Engineer to join our team designing, building, and flight testing autonomous aircrafts. You will help develop the P100 operations and lead end-to-end test campaigns, including travel to test ranges and coordination among stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in flight test engineering, and strong FAA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in flight test engineering or aerospace testing.
• Knowledge of PX4, MAVLink, QGroundControl, and FAA processes.

Responsibilities

• Join our engineering team to develop the P100 operations and test campaigns.
• Travel to test ranges and support end-to-end test efforts with plans.
• Coordinate campaigns across engineering, BD, staff, and customers.
• Conduct pre-flight briefings, post-flight debriefs, and real-time monitoring.
• Streamline procedures to deliver usable product capabilities to customers.
• Manage FAA airworthiness and NAS testing certification.
• Develop field test equipment and vehicles for efficiency.
• Review data, document anomalies, and report findings.
