Job summary
Nuro is seeking an Associate Fleet Technician in Houston to support our autonomous vehicle fleet. This entry-level technical role focuses on maintenance, diagnostics, and operational readiness of vehicles and robots, enabling safe, reliable on-road performance.
You will learn to perform PMs, basic repairs, and data-driven diagnostics while collaborating with Engineering and Field Operations teams. This on-site role offers full benefits and a 12-month window transition into the fleet.
Qualifications
- Foundational technical aptitude with vehicles, electronics, or machinery.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation and SOPs.
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily/weekly preventive maintenance checks to maximize vehicle uptime.
- Diagnose basic hardware/software faults and escalate as needed.
- Carry out minor mechanical repairs and part replacements on vehicles.
- Help transfer, set up, and operate autonomous vehicles and robots in zones.
- Document work orders and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
