Pony.ai, founded in Silicon Valley, is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to autonomous mobility across Robotaxi, Robotruck, and POV projects in Fremont, CA. The role emphasizes safe, socially aware vehicle behaviors and end-to-end systems development.

The ideal candidate has a BS (or MS) in CS/ML/Robotics with strong software engineering fundamentals, including C/C++, Python, or Java, and solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms. A MS is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, ML, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• General software engineering experience, proficient in at least one mainstream programming language (such as C, C++, Python, or Java) and familiar with common data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design safe, smooth, and socially aware autonomous vehicle behaviors for complex passenger interactions.
• Develop end-to-end solutions spanning algorithm design, evaluation tools, massive-scale data pipelines, and real-time on-vehicle deployment.
