Job summary

WeRide is seeking PhD/MS candidates in robotics and related fields for roles spanning prediction, mapping/localization, planning/control, and simulation core. Ideal candidates will have strong C++/Python skills, ML framework experience, and a passion for AV innovation.

Join a multi-disciplinary effort across prediction, mapping/localization, planning/control, and simulation to accelerate development of Level 2–4 autonomous driving technologies in a global setting.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in a relevant field with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python with knowledge of latest features.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design models that forecast the behaviors and intentions of surrounding vehicles, pedestrians, and other dynamic agents, enabling safer driving decisions.
• Explore algorithms for vehicle localization and environment representation using maps, sensors, and learning-based methods.
• Contribute to motion planning and decision-making modules for safe, efficient, and human-like driving behaviors and robust vehicle control.
• Build simulation platforms with realistic sensor modeling and 3D environment reconstruction to accelerate AV development and validation.
