Job summary

Waabi is seeking Research Scientists and Engineers to join a multidisciplinary team using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale. You will lead or contribute to AI research projects, developing algorithms across perception, prediction, motion planning, and more for autonomous vehicles and production systems.

You will design, implement, train, and optimize novel algorithms, with opportunities to publish externally at NeurIPS/ICML/ICCV/CVPR, post on our blog, and release open

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or MS/PhD in CS, Engineering, AI, ML, CV, Robotics.
• Demonstrated research/software engineering experience through internships, work experience, coding competitions, and/or research projects and papers.
• Strong quantitative background in linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
• Proficient in Python and/or C++.
• Open-minded and collaborative team player with willingness to help others.
• Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a multidisciplinary team using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale.
• Lead or contribute to an AI research project, developing new algorithms for AV topics like perception, prediction, motion planning, controls, simulation, mapping, localization, core AI.
• Design, implement, train, and optimize novel algorithms on self-driving vehicles and production systems.
• Publish work externally at top ML/vision/robotics conferences, post to company blog, and release open source projects.
