Job summary

Avon Surgery Center is seeking a CRNA to practice autonomously and in collaboration with a broad interprofessional team to deliver high-quality anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA will care for patients across the lifespan for surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic and pain management procedures in Avon and Brecksville centers.

Qualifications

• Holds current active state licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio and is certified/re-certified as a CRNA.
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.
• Insurable by malpractice insurer for required limits.
• Demonstrates current competency in clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document preanesthesia assessment and evaluation.
• Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services.
• Develop and implement an anesthesia care plan.
• Administer analgesic and anesthetic agents and monitor patient safety during procedures.
• Provide postanesthesia care and discharge planning.
• Manage airway and emergency responses using required life support techniques.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in care relevant to anesthesia and recovery.
