Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide advanced anesthesia and pain care across patient ages and various settings. The role combines autonomous practice with collaboration among interprofessional team members to ensure safe, evidence-based care for procedures spanning surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic contexts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.
• CRNA must hold North Carolina RN licensure and recognition as an APRN by the NC Board of Nursing.
• Certification as a CRNA by the NBCRNA/ABHNR is required.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS required; PALS per campus recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and evaluation of patient medical history and planned procedure.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepare and administer medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitor airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic response to anesthesia for patient safety.
• Complete documentation: Surgical Safety Checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative record, and transfer of care note.
• Log incident reporting in the Safety Portal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
