Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to join the Division of Community Anesthesia at the UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham campus. You will provide anesthesia under an anesthesiologist’s direction across diverse procedures and contribute to student instruction, in a collaborative setting with surgeons and physicians.

The role offers a flexible PRN schedule, non-benefited, with emphasis on autonomy, teamwork, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
• Alabama CRNA license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participates in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Key responsibilities are performed under the direction of the anesthesiologists according to policy and procedures.
