Job summary

MUSC Health Black River Medical Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join a collaborative critical care team with advanced training opportunities and strong clinical support. You will administer respiratory therapies, monitor patients, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to deliver high-quality care in a busy ICU setting.

Comprehensive onsite training and mentorship are provided to develop advanced critical care skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program with a Diploma or AAS.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensed by the Board of Medicine to practice in South Carolina.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer pharmacological, diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care per physician orders.
• Assess, monitor and respond to signs and symptoms during treatments and testing.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Assume responsibility for respiratory care treatments and oversight of technicians.
