Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an Autonomous Controls Specialist II to lead shift activities for autonomous haulage operations at the Bagdad, AZ site.

You will coordinate equipment, personnel and materials, partnering with mine operations and using MineStar Command to ensure safe, efficient execution and alignment with daily production targets. Required are strong English communication, relevant degrees or equivalents, and hands-on experience in mining automation or fleet systems.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency and safety instruction comprehension required.
• Minimum seven years in mining/heavy industry or related fields with dispatch, autonomy or data analytics experience.
• Higher education credentials with corresponding years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of equipment, personnel, and materials for autonomous haulage operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and technology teams to resolve issues and improve haulage performance.
• Track KPIs, identify issues, and adjust operations to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Provide real-time updates on plans and system status, documenting shift activities for smooth handoffs.
• Perform other duties as requested.
