Job summary

Britt Medical invites an BE/BC AP/CP Pathologist to join a growing hospital-based practice in Laredo, Texas. The role offers autonomy within a supportive, experienced pathology team and remote digital pathology support for expert consultation.

Responsibilities include signing out a wide range of anatomic pathology cases, providing frozen section coverage, and overseeing laboratory quality. Collaboration with a Pathologists’ Assistant and participation in tumor boards are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• BE/BC AP/CP Pathologist with subspecialty training preferred but not required.
• Hospital-based practice experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sign out a wide range of anatomic pathology cases.
• Provide frozen section coverage.
• Oversee clinical laboratory operations and quality.
• Collaborate with Pathologists’ Assistant on grossing (majority by PA).
• Participate in tumor boards, hospital committees, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and hospital standards.
• Supportive and collaborative practice environment with autonomy.
