Job summary

Spencer Britt in Laredo, Texas, seeks a motivated BE/BC AP/CP Pathologist to join a growing hospital-based practice. This full-time role offers autonomy within a collaborative pathology team and access to digital pathology support.

Subspecialty training is preferred but not required. You will sign out a wide range of anatomic pathology cases, provide frozen section coverage, and oversee clinical laboratory operations while collaborating with a Pathologists’ Assistant.

Qualifications

• Board-certified AP/CP pathologist with BE/BC credentials.
• Experience in hospital-based practice preferred but not required.
• Fellowship in subspecialty is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Sign out a wide range of anatomic pathology cases.
• Provide frozen section coverage.
• Oversee clinical laboratory operations and quality.
• Collaborate with onsite Pathologists’ Assistant; PA performs majority of grossing.
• Access remote digital pathology support and expert consultation.
• Participate in tumor boards, hospital committees, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and hospital standards.
