Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks engineers to build Kiro, a frontier developer tool that enables autonomous task handling and context retention. You will shape a system solving problems in AI and software engineering, aligning with AWS standards for scale, reliability and security.

You will ship features that improve developer workflows, engage in code reviews, mentorship, and rapid skill growth, with opportunities to lead projects and influence technical direction from day one.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of SDE or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing large-scale distributed software applications.
• Experience programming with at least one major language.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Kiro Web server: session manager, ACP client adapter, WebSocket gateway, REST API.
• Implement the process-per-session architecture and JSON-RPC communication.
• Develop multi-agent orchestration layer and topology validation.
• Design the WebSocket fan-out system for real-time notifications.
• Operate Kiro distribution system and CDN configuration.
• Implement tool-approval interception and frontend communication.
• Write tests, monitor/alert, participate in on-call rotations.
• Contribute to API design and technical direction.
