Job summary

Spanidea is seeking a hands-on LV harness technician in Sunnyvale, CA to fabricate and assemble harnesses to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, connect Deutsch/TE/Molex/Amphenol connectors, and route wiring inside prototype vehicles.

You will perform tests and diagnostics, document ECO changes, and maintain revision logs. Requires 3+ years of LV harness experience, 12V/24V wiring knowledge, and schematic-reading skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of LV harness building experience.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified (or able to certify within 90 days).
• Proficient in reading schematics, using crimp tools, pull testers, DMM, and CAN tools.
• Strong knowledge of 12V/24V wiring (fusing, grounding, wire gauge selection).
• Comfortable working in tight prototype vehicle spaces.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate & Assemble: Build custom LV harnesses from schematics and pinouts per IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.


• Connectors & Routing: Work with Deutsch, TE, Molex, Amphenol connectors and CAN/Ethernet data lines. Securely route harnesses inside vehicles.


• Testing & Diagnostics: Perform continuity, isolation, and DMM tests. Troubleshoot wiring faults (shorts, opens, bad grounds).


• Reworks & Documentation: Execute ECO revisions, redline drawings/BOMs, and maintain vehicle revision logs.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of LV harness building experience (Automotive, Aerospace, or Robotics).


• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified (or ability to get certified within 90 days).


• Proficient in reading schematics, using crimp tools, pull testers, DMM, and CAN tools.


• Strong knowledge of 12V/24V wiring (fusing, grounding, wire gauge selection).
