Job summary

International Motors, LLC is seeking an Engineer to join TRATON USA’s R&D Team to support validation and testing activities for material laboratories. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, applying engineering basics to testing, and contributing to research projects.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and up to 2 years of validation engineering experience in automotive or off-road environments, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Internship or other experience in a lab or testing environment.
• Ideal candidate has 1–2 years of validation engineering experience in automotive, commercial, or off-road vehicle industries.
• Industry Knowledge: properties and processes with application to vehicle systems and assemblies.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Independent work in the core area of responsibility for the Material Laboratories and team.
• Apply knowledge of engineering basics to engineering, testing, innovation, manufacturing, and outside test services.
• Contribute to internal queries and research projects.
• Evolve material engineering procedures and specifications in area of responsibility.
• Support development of the material engineering specifications, procedures, and standards for all International.
• Domestic and international travel is required 10% of the time.
