Job summary

DARCARS of Rockville is seeking an Automotive Valet to support customer satisfaction at our Rockville dealership. You will be responsible for lane management, greeting customers, and assisting with parking and vehicle movement throughout the service process.

The role emphasizes customer service, communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks in varying weather. Detailing experience or the ability to operate manual vehicles are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Strong communication with customers and employees.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and direct them to parking or retrieval destinations.
• Assist with service write-up and tagging of vehicles.
• Help manage vehicle flow within the dealership as tickets are generated.
• Move client vehicles between shop and service areas as needed.
• Provide shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Maintain cleanliness of service area and manage debris, ice, and snow as necessary.
• Follow dealership policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

TheAutomotive Valet positionplays an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of our company. In this role,you areresponsible for lane management and will perform various tasks and errands.

For this role, you'll need:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable, safe driving record
• Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Must be at least eighteen years of age
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
• Detailing experience is a plus
• Ability to operate manual vehicles is a plus

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner
• Greets every customer with a smile
• Directs customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles
• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles
• Assists with efficient vehicle flow within dealership as service tickets are generated
• Assists Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehiclesto and from the shop andanything else they may need to complete the service visit
• Provides shuttle service to customers, when requested
• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or the int4?? 
• Maintains cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary
• Responsible for garbage removal
• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
