Job summary

SaltWorks MFG in Sarasota, Florida is seeking an experienced Automotive Trimmer / Interior Craftsman to craft high-end custom vehicle interiors from start to finish. You will shape foam, upholster seats, assemble door panels, consoles, and headliners, and collaborate with fabrication and mechanical teams to solve unique challenges.

The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and shares a passion for quality.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in automotive interior trim and fabrication.
• Pattern making and template creation experience preferred.
• Leather, vinyl, suede and specialty materials upholstery work knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Full custom automotive interiors and seat fabrication, foam shaping and upholstery.
• Door panels, consoles, dashes, headliners, carpet and trunk work.
• Pattern making and template creation for bespoke parts.
• Leather, vinyl, suede and specialty material work for interiors.
• Interior assembly and final fit/finish in coordination with fabrication and mechanical teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Full custom automotive interiors
• Seat fabrication, foam shaping, and upholstery
• Door panels, consoles, dashes, headliners, carpet, and trunk work
• Pattern making and template creation
• Leather, vinyl, suede, and specialty material work
• Interior assembly and final fit/finish
• Collaborating with fabrication and mechanical departments
• Solving custom one-off challenges with creativity and craftsmanship
