Job summary

Don Foshay's Discount Tire & Alignment in Maine is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to perform tire installation, maintenance, alignments, brakes, diagnostics and routine service in a fast-paced shop. You will contribute to safe, reliable vehicles and high customer satisfaction.

You bring a Maine State Inspection License, 3+ years of hands-on auto repair experience, own tools, and a valid driver’s license (preferred).

Qualifications

Maine State Inspection License is required.
Solid understanding of automotive systems; PC-based diagnostics a plus.
3+ years of automotive maintenance or repair experience; own tools required.
Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle inspection, maintenance, and repairs to meet customer expectations.
Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure safety and function.
Conduct routine maintenance (oil changes, fluid flushes, belts/hoses, battery testing/installation).
Document findings from thorough visual inspections.
Maintain shop equipment and clean, functional work area; service portable fluid drains as needed.
Take on additional duties to support shop operations and team success.
Adhere to safety guidelines and keep the work area professional.
Collaborate with Store Manager, Service Advisors, and teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate dependability and a positive attitude in a busy shop environment.
