Job summary
Don Foshay’s Discount Tire & Alignment in Maine is seeking an Automotive General Service Technician to perform essential maintenance and tire services. You’ll mount, balance, and install tires, change oil, and handle fluid services with precision while contributing to a safe customer experience.
You don't need extensive experience; however, familiarity with automotive systems, PC-based diagnostic tools, and a team-focused mindset will help you succeed.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of automotive systems.
- Experience with PC-based diagnostic tools and/or digital inspections is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, and install tires with precision and care.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid flushes and replacements, belt and hose replacements, battery testing and installation, and general automotive repairs.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles and accurately document any findings.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment, including servicing portable fluid drains according to shop protocols.
- Actively expands automotive knowledge and technical skills to support long-term career development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations and team success.
