Automotive Tire / Lube Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Dismount and mount tires. Installing new tires and wheels. Torque lug nuts to correct specifications.
• Oil and lube for cars and light trucks.
• Performs maintenance on tires, including rotations, balancing, and repairs.
• Clean hubs and wheels for corrosion.
• Resetting Tire Pressure Sensors.
• Load scrap truck and other duties as assigned to conduct business.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record (accepted by our insurance carrier to drive company vehicles on/off the lot).
• Must be of 18 years of age or older.
• Experience with tire mounting, balancing and TPMS a plus.
• Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and Company policies.
• Conducts basic maintenance and cleaning.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, following safety requirements.
• Must be able to lift 60+ lbs. and reach items overhead. Manual dexterity including finger, hand, and arm movement to grasp and assemble very small objects while keeping arm/hands steady.
• Flexibility including: the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
• Dependability is a must.
• Flexibility to work in other areas during downtime and as qualified to perform.
• Near vision and hearing sensitivity including: the ability to see details at close range and detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness.
• Self-starter with a high degree of problem-solving skills and deductive reasoning.
• Available to work Mon-Fri from 7am-5pm (sometimes get out a little earlier on Fridays and overtime as needed).

• No Certifications Required for Tire Technicians!
• No Tools Required for Tires!
• We have in-house training material to help tire techs/apprentices get state certified in brakes.
