Job summary

Goken is seeking a Test Engineer to support preparing prototype vehicles for testing and setting up test equipment. The role includes teardown and reassembly, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with RF teams to ensure readiness and data integrity.

The candidate will document findings, read wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot routine issues while maintaining a safe lab environment and adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/engineering training preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on testing experience with prototypes and test rigs.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and teardown instructions; document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Automotive teardown and reassembly of test vehicles; interior panels, bumpers, wiring harnesses.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and shop tools.
  • Move, install, and maintain anechoic chamber absorbers and heavy fixtures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on turntables, lifts, chamber doors, and facility equipment.
  • Assist RF technicians with test setup and vehicle positioning.
  • Track downtime, mechanical delays, and equipment issues.
  • Ask logical questions in test planning meetings to ensure readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe lab environment.
