Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Indiana Technology Engineering Education license or equivalent.
• Or current Indiana licensed teacher withcareer and technical background and willingness to add the Indiana TEE license test.
• Five plus years of work experience in automotive diagnostics and service, and ability to obtain Workplace Specialist teaching license.
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers Automotive Technology education curriculum aligned to district goals.
• Teaches mechanics, electronics, automotive diagnostics, and related fields.
• Maintains safe classroom environment and caters to individual/small group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and learning activities utilizing equipment.
• Guides students in project selection and hands-on applications.
• Instructs in safe use and storage of tools and equipment.
• Assesses student learning and adapts methods for various learners.
• Keeps up-to-date with education standards and tests.
• Communicates effectively with students and parents.
