Job summary

Atlanta Technical College is seeking a full-time Instructor in Automotive Technology to deliver hands-on and theoretical instruction on its main campus. The role sits in the Industrial and Transportation Technology department within the Academic and Student Affairs division.

The instructor will apply adult-learning techniques, ensure lab safety, and support student success toward ASE credentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and an automotive technology diploma from an accredited institution.
• Associate’s degree or higher and an automotive technology diploma from an accredited institution.
• Experience working on electric vehicles.
• ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive technology instruction effectively.
• Develop and review program syllabi, goals and objectives.
• Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Advise and counsel students and maintain advisement records.
• Maintain classroom and lab safety rules.
• Monitor use of supplies, materials and equipment.
• Prepare budget requests for supplies and equipment.
• Maintain program certification requirements for accreditation.
• Attend staff development activities and participate in recruitment.
