Job summary

The Dallas County R-1 School District is seeking an Automotive Technology Instructor to begin immediately for the 2026-2027 school year at the Dallas County Technical Center in southwest Missouri. Candidates should be highly knowledgeable and versatile in the Auto Mechanics industry, ASE certified, and willing to obtain Career Education Certification.

A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university along with 4,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
• Associates degree from an accredited college or university along with 5,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
• No degree and 6,000 hours of department-approved, closely related occupation experience within the past ten years.

Responsibilities

• Preferred candidates would have teaching experience; but not required.
• Candidates without prior teaching experience must have 2-3 years of closely related occupational experience within the past 10 years.
• This is a 9 month position and comes with a competitive benefit package.
