Job summary

Gastonia CDJR is seeking experienced Service Technicians to support our busy service department in Gastonia, NC. Immediate PTO on day one, a no-weekends schedule, and flat-rate pay with bonuses twice a year are key highlights of this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive service experience or CDJR experience preferred.
• CDJR certification is a plus.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect customer vehicles and identify required repairs and maintenance.
• Estimate repair costs and perform services per dealership guidelines.
• Order necessary parts and ensure workshop safety and neatness.
• Provide professional customer service and explain repairs to customers.
• Maintain certifications and strive for high standards in a busy shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Examines customer vehicles.
• Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains CEI at or above company standards.
• Estimates cost of repairs.
• Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Requests necessary parts.
• Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Provides professional level customer service to both external and internal customers that meets or exceeds dealership and manufacturer standards of excellence.
• Consistently maintains our state-of-the-art shops and our dealership properly in a very neat, clean, and safe manner.
• Attains highest levels of manufacturer, FCA certifications and performance-based requirements.
• At least 2 years’ experience required.
• CDJR certification is a plus!
• Transmission, heavy-line, and engine drivability experience Pays top dollar.
• A high level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Proven knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Professional appearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
• Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
