Job summary

Berman Star Nissan in Niles, IL is seeking an Experienced Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on diagnosing, testing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, including engine, transmission, and suspension work.

You will perform multi-point inspections, report findings to service advisors, and ensure work aligns with Nissan brand standards. Ongoing training and Nissan certification advancement are encouraged, with company-paid ASE certs and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair setting.
• ASE Certifications
• Understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, brakes).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors, sometimes in noisy environments).
• Enthusiasm for learning and hands‑on technical work is essential.
• Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, and take direction from senior technicians.
