Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) to support this initiative.

Job Description
  1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
  2. Complete repair orders and warranty requests according to Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
  3. Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools.
  4. Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs efficiently while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a positive customer experience.

All employment opportunities listed are with independently owned and operated Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer, not with KUS or ERS. Employment decisions are at each Kia Retailer’s discretion and subject to applicable laws.

KUS and ERS do not guarantee employment to participants in the VTAP program. Eligibility, skills, and experience requirements apply.

Requirements
  • Honorable Discharge
  • Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required
  • Willingness to complete drug screening and background checks
