This range is provided by KIA Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$38,000.00/yr - $48,000.00/yr

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to start a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty request orders following Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
• Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools.
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an optimal customer experience.

Requirements

• Honorable Discharge
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field
• Willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks
