Job Overview

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to start a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) to support this initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
  • Complete repair orders and warranty requests following Kia and Retailer policies.
  • Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, equipment, and tools.
  • Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs efficiently while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to enhance customer experience.

All employment opportunities listed are with independently owned Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer, not with KUS or ERS. Employment is subject to applicable laws and retailer-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements
  • Honorable Discharge from military service.
  • Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
  • Willingness to complete drug screening and background checks.
