Job summary

Chabill's Tire & Auto Service in Gonzales, LA seeks a Top Level Automotive Technician with extensive repair experience to join our team. You will review work orders, diagnose issues, estimate parts/time, and perform high-quality repairs on automotive systems.

The ideal candidate owns essential tools, has a valid driver’s license, and is eligible to work in the United States. ASE certs and air conditioning/engine repair experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems.
• Experience with brake and suspension repair.
• Experience discussing repair needs with service advisors.
• Own all necessary tools to complete most automotive tasks.
• Valid driver's license.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience with air conditioning and engine repair is a plus.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and discuss them with service advisors as needed.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose problems.
• Provide an estimate of time and parts needed for repair/maintenance.
• Perform quality repair and maintenance work on automotive systems.
• Install equipment, components, and systems.
• Record diagnostic findings, safety concerns and maintenance recommendations on Vehicle Inspection.
