Job summary

Schomp Automotive Group in Fairfield, CA, seeks a qualified service technician for maintaining and repairing vehicles. You will service vehicles in a timely and proficient manner and work with a team toward dealership goals.

Requirements include 2+ years as a mainline technician in a professional shop, ability to work independently, own tools, and a valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR. Compensation is flat rate hourly and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as mainline technician in a professional dealership or automotive service center.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and demonstrate motivation to increase knowledge and skills.
• Own a complete set of tools and a valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Service vehicles in a timely and proficient manner for routine maintenance.
• Inspect engines and components to diagnose issues and recommend repairs.
• Collaborate with team to meet dealership, group, and manufacturer goals.
• Repair or replace faulty parts while maintaining productivity goals.

What You'll Do:

• Service vehicles in a timely and proficient manner for routine scheduled and regular maintenance
• Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues, and accurately recommend replacement/repair as needed
• Work with your team toward achieving dealership, group, and manufacturer goals and benchmarks
• Efficiently and accurately repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues, maintaining productivity goals

What You Need:

• 2+ years of experience as mainline technician in a professional dealership or automotive service center required
• The ability to work independently with limited supervision and demonstrate the motivation to continually increase your knowledge & technical skills
• Your own complete and up-to-date set of tools
• **You must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR**
