Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate in West Point, VA. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet high safety and quality standards. Join a team focused on integrity, growth, and customer trust in a modern facility.

You will work on domestic and foreign vehicles, following EH&S policies, and you’ll receive ongoing training with advanced tools. A new hire bonus and competitive hourly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications in Steering & Suspension, Brakes, Heating & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Engine Repair, Manual Drive Train & Axles, Engine Performance, and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle.
