Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines to suspensions, in a climate-controlled facility. You’ll work with a collaborative team, following EH&S rules and CarMax standards to restore confidence for customers.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, advance your ASE credentials, and contribute to a growing, customer-focused organization offering a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by State/Local law.
