Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate in West Point, VA to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to the company's safety and reliability standards. You'll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility and receive ongoing training, advanced tools, and opportunities to grow.

Key duties include diagnosing and repairing engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems, while maintaining EH&S compliance and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as described above where required by state/local law.
