Overview

As An Automotive Technician, Goodyear Can Offer You opportunities to inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive services while delivering an excellent guest experience. You will have the chance to mentor and continually learn about new technologies in the rapidly changing automotive industry, and work in a team environment.

What Our Automotive Technicians Do

• Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills
• Inspect, repair and diagnose systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay informed of rapidly changing automotive technology; promote teamwork to deliver on-time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Maintain expected standards of sales, service, safety, and housekeeping; use protective equipment when operating machinery and manual tools
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting, tires and wheels handling, standing, bending, and squatting

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver\'s license
• Must have three years of experience in automotive repair, including diagnosis, problem-solving, and repairs
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Preferred Qualifications: ASE A4 (Steering and Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) certifications and state inspection licenses and/or MAC certification

Additional Considerations

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to cover business needs; locations may be open 7 days a week including weekends and holidays
• Ability to use technology and various applications to support correct diagnostics
• Utilize tools, skills, and product knowledge to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines
