Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a full-service car care center. You will work on transmissions and general automotive systems, explaining needed repairs to service staff and teammates.

Responsibilities include inspecting and diagnosing vehicle systems, removing and reinstalling transmissions, and assisting others while maintaining accurate repair estimates. ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a General Automotive/R&R Technician.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Own professional grade tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians.
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques.
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated.
