Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Peoria, IL, is seeking an Automotive Technician to join the service team. You will learn and develop skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians, performing routine inspections and assisting with repairs.

The role uses a flat-rate pay model, offers paid ASE certifications, on-the-job training, and a clear path to grow within a global tire and auto service network.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes, Basic inspections, Repairing tires.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Aim to obtain ASE A1–A8 within two years; tests and registrations fees are paid for by company; bonus for each test passed.
