Job summary

Cardinale GMC in Seaside, California is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. We offer top pay for qualified technicians and a $2,500 signing bonus paid after 30 days of employment.

The role focuses on quality repairs, accurate diagnostics, and first-time-right workmanship in a professional dealership setting. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair GMC vehicles with access to advanced tools and resources, supported by a collaborative service team.

Qualifications

2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
ASE Certification required.
B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
Dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
Positive, friendly attitude and willingness to improve.
Team player with ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional work and provide time estimates.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
