General Description

As an Automotive Technician at Goodyear, you will professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair tires and perform automotive services, ensuring an excellent guest experience. You'll have opportunities to mentor others and stay updated on new automotive technologies, working effectively within a team. We encourage your success and investment in your growth—apply today!

Responsibilities
  • Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting, including brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, A/C, computer systems, and power-train management systems.
  • Road test vehicles post-repair to ensure mechanical soundness and identify additional issues.
  • Display a commitment to learning new automotive technologies.
  • Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about vehicle issues.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level technicians.
  • Document all work performed accurately.
  • Report safety issues immediately.
  • Promote teamwork to ensure timely and accurate guest care.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies on vehicle care and operation.
  • Perform manual tasks, including lifting tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • No relocation offered.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • ASE Certifications.
  • Experience with exhaust, fuel systems, electrical, A/C, computer systems, and power-train management.
