Job summary

McDaniels Auto Group in Columbia, SC is seeking a Service Technician to perform repairs per Subaru standards and diagnose systems using expert diagnostic tools. You will test-drive to verify repairs and communicate with the Service Advisor on time estimates and additional needs.

EPA and customer service focus, with opportunities for on-the-job training, growth, and a team-driven shop environment. ASE certification and AWD/CVT knowledge valued; valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Subaru experience preferred; other import experience considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE certification preferred.
• B-Level qualifications: diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.
• Strong AWD and CVT knowledge; dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order per dealership and Subaru standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, AC, and AWD systems.
• Provide accurate time estimates to the Service Advisor.
• Execute warranty repairs to Subaru specifications.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document findings.
