Summary:
Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Examining customer vehicles.
- Identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Estimating cost of repairs.
- Performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Documenting services performed.
- Performing services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
- Following dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Requesting necessary parts.
- Maintaining CSI (Customer Service Index) at or above company standards.
- Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Participating in required training.
- Recording all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
- Following all safety rules and regulations.
- Demonstrating the company’s core values.
- Following company policies and procedures.
- Observing all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with medical conditions.
- Subaru experience is a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Knowledge of automotive parts and systems, with demonstrable mechanical skills.
- Technical training or equivalent experience required.
- Valid insurable driver’s license.
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills for timekeeping and inventory systems.
Communication Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions; effective communication with customers and staff.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
- Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; effectively present information to individuals and groups.
