Job summary

Car Pros Automotive Group in El Monte, CA is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles while ensuring quality workmanship and a safe, professional work environment.

The role requires diagnosing problems, developing repair procedures, and communicating with customers and service staff. You will perform inspections, road-tests, and document work meticulously, following company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Skilled in automotive diagnosis and repair.
• Safety-conscious and committed to quality workmanship.
• Able to diagnose problems and determine appropriate repair procedures.
• Comfortable using automotive diagnostic equipment and hand/air tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul automobiles, vans, trucks, and other automotive vehicles.
• Examine vehicles and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with customers, Service Advisors, or the Service Manager as needed.
• Develop repair procedures using technical manuals, charts, diagnostic equipment, and professional experience.
• Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, and replace components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, and other vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
• Repair, replace, reline, and adjust brake systems.
• Perform wheel alignments and repair or replace shock absorbers and related suspension components.
• Replace and adjust headlights.
• Install and repair automotive accessories, including radios, heaters, mirrors, windshield wipers, and other equipment.
• Complete a TruVideo multi-point inspection on all vehicles prior to invoicing.
• Road-test vehicles before and/or after repairs as required.
• Properly document work performed and maintain accurate and timely records.
• Work cooperatively and professionally with Service Advisors, management, technicians, and all dealership personnel.
